Concert in Weidendamm: classical and jazz at the end of the year in Eberswalde!

On December 27, 2025, the 964th edition of “Guten Morgen Eberswalde” will be celebrated in the inner-city park on Weidendamm. The event begins at half past ten in the morning and promises a special highlight: a traditional concert by the Brandenburg Wind Quartet. This concert will offer a musical journey through four centuries - from classical to jazz, and of course all with free entry for all music lovers and those interested in culture. It's a wonderful opportunity to say goodbye to the year in style and a great way to unwind after a long year.

Since July 14, 2007, “Guten Morgen Eberswalde” has been bringing art and culture to life every Saturday morning. In 2025 there were a total of 52 Saturdays and therefore 52 events that bathed Eberswalde in a cultural light. The next event will take place on the first Saturday of the new year, and the anticipation is increasing, because there is also a very special anniversary on the program in 2026: the 1,000th. Output!

Jazz scene in Brandenburg

In recent years, Brandenburg has established itself as a center for lively jazz music, drawing ever more from the creative energy of the neighboring capital, Berlin. There is an active, local jazz scene, which is characterized not only by local talent, but also by renowned musicians such as drummer Willi Kellers and saxophonist Wanja Slavin. Both were awarded the Brandenburg Jazz Prize, which the Peitz Jazz Workshop launched in 2024. This institution, which was founded in 1973, promotes free jazz and resumed its activities in Lusatia in 2011.

A highlight in the Eberswalde cultural landscape is the jazz festival “Jazz in E”, which has existed for 30 years and represents a key moment in the regional jazz scene. The festival promotes exchange and networking between the various jazz activities in the region, starting in Potsdam and ending in Eberswalde. These efforts demonstrate the importance of keeping local culture in the spotlight and producing new talent.

Political structure in Brandenburg

So it remains exciting to see what the next year has in store for Eberswalde and the entire region. The mix of a dynamic jazz scene, a lively cultural landscape and a stable political foundation gives hope for a prosperous future. If you don't want to miss the next "Guten Morgen Eberswalde" event, you should definitely mark December 27th in your calendar!
