Are to apply the requirements to the online services that had to implement the first specifications by August 25, 2023, as the information page of the consumer center explained- Consumerzentral.de .

The DSA aims to regulate the market behavior of these providers and ensure that what is illegal offline remains illegal online. These regulations, which have been in force since February 2024, also result in the obligation to create a safe online environment for providers. Among other things, this includes the guarantee that consumer rights are protected and inadmissible practices such as trading in illegal goods.
