The new Green Stars
The newly awarded Green Stars focus on sustainable gastronomy. In Berlin these are not only “Wilde Klosterküche”, but also “Bandol sur mer”, “Bonvivant”, “Frea”, “Horváth”, “Nobelhart & Dirty” and “Rutz”. These awards honor the chefs' connection to the products of their surroundings and their awareness of the environment and nature.
A total of 341 restaurants in Germany were awarded at least one Michelin star, including twelve with the highest honor of three stars. With two of the best restaurants each, Hamburg and Munich prove that the culinary density is also high in the big cities.
