This week it's getting pretty loud in two Berlin districts: The Bundeswehr is conducting military exercises that are causing a lot of attention for the aircraft. The first exercise will take place on Tuesday in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, followed by another exercise on Wednesday in the Spandau district. On these days there will be more helicopters circling over residential areas, as t-online.de reports. The Berlin police have already informed residents and emphasized that there is no danger to passers-by or neighbors.
With these exercises, the Bundeswehr wants to further improve its capabilities and those of its specialized units. Even if the exercises take place over urban areas, they can be classified as controlled. “Don’t worry, there will be no danger to the civilian population,” emphasizes the police in their messages. As n-tv.de explains, the exercises are scheduled for today and tomorrow, with the helicopters taking a close look at the south and west of Berlin.
