The fifth season began in Eberswalde on November 11th at 11:11 a.m. With the traditional handover of the keys to the Eberswalder Forest Carnival, the foolish followers took control of the town hall. Mayor Götz Herrmann had the pleasure of handing over the town hall key into the happy hands of the carnival and carnival clubs. The mood was lively and full of joy, as befits the fifth season.
A special highlight of the start was the gift for the mayor: a laser sword, which will certainly not only be used on the carnival tour.
