Celebrate! 70 years of parking train in the Lauchhammer Schlosspark

Lauchhammer, Deutschland - The castle park in Lauchhammer will be the setting for a very special festival on July 6, 2025. On this day, the parking railway celebrates its 70th anniversary, as part of the traditional Bergmannstag. The celebrations start at 11 a.m. and promise a colorful program for the whole family.

What exactly can visit visitors? In addition to numerous parking train trips, the event will also come up with family entertainment, music, dance and games. The highlights are certainly the appearances of the orchestra of the miners Plessa, which will delight guests with hearty brass music at 3 and 4:30 p.m. Other artists such as Jessy, the Duo Second Live and the Dance Crew from FC Lauchhammer will also enter the stage to create a good atmosphere.

In the castle park there is not only music and dance, but also many hands -on activities for children. So the little visitors can look forward to horse pages, a bouncy castle and a game area. And best of all: entry to the event is free! The culinary meals are also taken care of so that visitors can enjoy the celebration to the fullest.

On the history of the parking railway: This has a track length of 950 meters and is operated by the traditional club BraunkoL Lauchhammer and the "Friends of the Parkbahn" section. The anniversary year 2025 has other surprises - such as a deeper season schedule, which beats exciting trips on special occasions. The medieval festival is celebrated on March 29, 2025 and also on German mill day, at the duck race of the youth fire brigade and on the day of the open monument.

The anniversary year will be a real festival for the city, because from August 29th to 31st August 2025 the city festival takes place, which is under the sign of "300 years of industrial culture in Lauchhammer". The parking railway will also run on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. For Halloween fans there will also be the popular “ghost trip”, while the season will end with a final trip on December 20, 2025.

The city of Lauchhammer and the "Friends of the Parking Railway" are confident that they can expect many passengers in the anniversary year.
