Festive Christmas market in Erkner: mulled wine, gifts and music!
The anticipation of the festive season is already palpable! The traditional Christmas market of the local history association will take place in Erkner on November 28, 2025. From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., the area of the local history museum will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland filled with festive splendor and culinary delights. Visit us at Heinrich-Heine-Straße 17-18 and enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere!
The offer leaves nothing to be desired: mulled wine steams from the cups, the smell of freshly baked sugar cake from the stone oven caresses the senses, and hearty dishes are also available: kale and grilled sausages are on the menu. If you prefer the sweet side, you will find Christmas cookies lovingly baked by MORUS high school students.
A market for the whole family
The Christmas market doesn't just have a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Handcrafted products and gift ideas also invite you to browse and marvel. The local history association presents, among other things, Advent arrangements and homemade jams, while local suppliers such as beekeeper Torsten Wiens present their regional specialties with honey and fishing on the Kaniswall.
The musical program is another highlight: The “Randberliners” open at 2 p.m., followed by the Harmonie 1884 Erkner men's choir at 3 p.m. and a performance by the Carl-Bechstein-Gymnasium school choir at 5 p.m. The Eichwalder Blasorchester will provide the musical finale at 6 p.m. To create a festive atmosphere right at the beginning of Advent, there is also a varied children's program with craft stations, a lantern parade and a visit from Santa Claus and the Christ Child.
Another festive market that is very popular in the region takes place in Munich. The Munich Christmas market on Marienplatz attracts many visitors every year and offers not only traditional delicacies, but also a wide Christmas spectrum across different parts of the city. The historical roots of this market go back to the 14th century!
Spring time for mulled wine lovers
There will be another taste experience for mulled wine fans in the near future: the mulled wine village in Bad Rappenau, which will take place on four weekends in January. At a magical location in the salt park, visitors can enjoy various mulled wine specialties such as apple cinnamon, witch's punch and pomegranate. Cozy fire baskets and Swedish fires create an atmospheric atmosphere. Whether Friday, Saturday or Sunday – there is something for everyone here!
Celebrate the anticipation of Advent with us and visit the numerous markets in the area, all of which offer regional delicacies and festive entertainment. Erkner looks forward to welcoming you to the 2025 Christmas market!
