On the upcoming weekend from June 13th to 15th, 2025, a variety of events will be held in Eisenhüttenstadt and the surrounding region that have something for every taste. The city is ready for a colorful program that promises music, dancing and a festive atmosphere.
The Schlagernacht in Frankfurt (Oder), which features the popular star Kerstin Ott, is particularly popular. For those who prefer something a little more traditional, the lime blossom festival takes place in Groß Lindow, while the fire brigade spectacle in Lawitz is sure to attract numerous visitors. In addition to these major events, there are also a number of sporting events, including the German Dance Championships in Frankfurt (Oder) as well as various football games and running competitions.
Cultural highlights and guided tours
On June 13th, a small evening music in the Nikolaikirche in Fürstenberg, which starts at 7 p.m. and costs no admission, offers a contemplative break. If you are interested in theater, you can watch the play “The Ship Esperanza” in the Hotel Lunik at 8 p.m. - ticket prices are 22 euros, reduced price 18 euros and even 7 euros for students. At the same time, there is another theater performance at Beeskow Castle at 8 p.m., which is also quite attractive at 17.50 euros (14.20 euros reduced).
Anyone interested can take part in a city tour of Eisenhüttenstadt on Friday. This will be offered again on Saturday at 10:45 a.m., with a price of 10 to 14 euros. Further guided tours, including through the straw house in Neuzelle or the monastery complex, round out the cultural offering.
Culinary delights and celebrations
The local festival in Schönfließ starts on June 13th at 7 p.m. and offers a varied program with fire shows, music and performances by local groups. Entry costs 5 euros on Friday and 7 euros on Saturday, while children under 12 can enter for just 2 euros. The Linden Blossom Festival in Groß Lindow starts on June 13th at 6 p.m. and also attracts a lot of attention with a skat tournament, free entry and lots of entertainment.
During the weekend it is also worth visiting the German Dance Championships, which will take place on June 14th at 3 p.m. in Frankfurt (Oder) and already offer tickets from 20 euros. For bargain hunters there is a pot market, a flea and flea market as well as a children's flea market in Guben. All markets open on June 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which is an Eldorado for everything shoppers.
Expandable events and outlooks
The Phoenixx Club in Eisenhüttenstadt invites you to the “90s/2000s Night” on June 14th from 11 p.m., with free entry until midnight, a great opportunity for everyone who wants to reminisce nostalgically. Last but not least, the mausoleum in Ratzdorf will be open for viewing on June 15th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., a cultural highlight that should not be missed.
Citizens and visitors can look forward to the last weekend in August for the town festival in Eisenhüttenstadt. There will be a three-day festival with a ceremonial tapping of draft beer and numerous food stalls.
