Uckermärk handball talents shine at district sports 2025!

Watch out handball fans! Last weekend, the 29th district sports games awaited in handball took place last weekend, organized by SV Fortuna Prenzlau. In a sporty competition that went over several age groups, the participating teams were able to demonstrate their skills and compete in gripping duels. The games of the e-youth girls and boys were particularly outstanding, where some impressed the level of performance.

In the exciting encounters of the e-youth girls, the Fortuna Prenzlau team started by defeating the SG Uckermark with 12: 3. Nele Hiller and Mara Templin in particular made the opponent sweat with their excellent first goals for Prenzlau. However, the joy only lasted briefly, because in the following game they lost Berolina Lychen with a clear 4:11. The fact is, the girls from Lychen secured the gold medal.

The individual services of the players were also recognized: Emma Peters from Prenzlau was named the best goalkeeper, while Sunny Schween from Lychen received the title of the best player. The most valuable team players were also awarded: Maja Weihrauch (Lychen), Lilly Müller (Prenzlau) and Mila Waltmann (Uckermark) showed consistent performance.

The tournament also started with an exciting start with the e-youth boys. Lychen was strong and won against Prenzlau 18: 5. Elmar Jentho, who has already taken the lead for Lychen, likes the game to a true demonstration of his skills. In another gripping game, Lychen narrowly prevailed against SG Uckermark with 18:17 and thus won the gold medal. The silver medal went to the SG Uckermark and the team of Prenzlau ended the tournament in third place.

Again, individual awards were also awarded. Jona Terletzki (Lychen) was appointed the best player in the tournament, while Emil Hauke ​​(Uckermark) was recognized as the best goalkeeper. The proven class of the players was praised by Marina Schulz, the representative of the handball association. She not only emphasized the sporting achievements, but also the positive development of young handball.
