Repair days in the Uckermark: save technology and have fun!
In the Uckermark, it's about sustainability and creativity: the repair days are in the starting blocks! From June 18, technology lovers and colorful hobbyists will have the opportunity to take a close look at their defective smartphones, laptops, computers and household appliances in the "Repairpace Uckermark". Nordkurier reports that the series of events from the Bürgerwerkstadt Schwedt of "Jugend meets Technik e.V." and the "Freiraum | MINT formation and Makespaces in the Uckermark of the Angermünder Bildungswerk e.V." is organized.
The next dates have already been determined: On June 18th, on Templiner Straße of Peace 19 in Schwedt, on June 19th in Glashaus, Gartenstraße 5 in Prenzlau and on June 20 in two locations-the "House with Future", Schwedter Straße 14, and the Talsand School, Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 6, both in Schwedt. The times are from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and even until 6 p.m. on the first day. Here everyone can test their skill and live out their own passion for technology!
fun fact: fun is guaranteed!
The organizers warn: There are no guarantees for repair success. But one thing is certain: fun and entertainment are secured! The financial support of the Uckermark district for the MINT training projects also contributes to this. These initiatives aim to create a greater awareness of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology-areas that are of enormous importance today, such as [mintskettesklung] (https://www.bildung-forschung.digital/digitalezukunft/mint/mint/mintetzt
In addition, on October 2, 2023, a “long day of the open workshop” will take place as part of the open space project. In the make -up pace in the house with a future, Schwedter Straße 14 in Angermünde, all citizens are invited to bring and realize their own projects. From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., a colorful program is waiting, which is particularly about LEDs and their control options with microcontrollers. Here interested parties can deepen their technical knowledge and network with like -minded people.
a network for the MINT community
The freedom project is not only a place of encounter, but also an important part of the MINT training offer in the region. The term mint stands for mathematics, computer science, science and technology. These areas are crucial for the development of sustainable skills and social progress. The project is supported by initiatives that aim to inspire girls and young women for technical professions, such as mintskettesklung on its platform.
For everyone who wants to take part in the repair days or want to learn more about the open workshops, Dirk Messer is the contact person. He is looking forward to working together with curious people. The initiative for promoting MINT formation through extracurricular offers is a step in the right direction to create a lively community around technology and creative solutions.
