Pritzwalk celebrates culinary diversity in the new Bed & Bike Hotel!

A lot is happening in Prignitz: from the new operator of a bed & bike hotel to local events that actively involve citizens. The fresh wind brings new ideas and events to the region, attracting both locals and visitors.

A particularly exciting project is the takeover of La Maison Pritzwalk by Esteve and Karen Rodríguez-Guardo. The Bed & Bike Hotel at Wittstocker Chaussee 3 not only offers overnight stays in four bungalows, but also a delicious breakfast and brunch. New events on offer include events where guests can enjoy Spanish and Colombian cuisine, such as MAZ reported.

News from Wittenberge

The new exhibition archive in Wittenberge will be ceremoniously opened on June 28th. During the town hall festival, citizens can immerse themselves in historical rooms and archive areas, which will be made accessible thanks to an investment of 245,000 euros. This expansion is a step towards promoting the city's cultural heritage, according to a recent report from Prignitz district.

If the movement is close to your heart, you can join a guided bike tour to Plattenburg on June 22nd. The 44 kilometer long route starts at 10 a.m. in Weisen; Admission is 5 euros, including a castle tour. Registrations are possible until June 21st.

Events and promotions

The summer solstice is on the program in Perleberg on June 20th, which will be celebrated with a fashion show, dancing and a concert in the city center. And there's also a lot of sport going on: on the same day, the 12-hour run for peace and tolerance will take place in Clara Zetkin Park - an event that is intended to strengthen the sense of community.

For the younger members of the society, the “Little Reading Wolves” toddler group in Pritzwalk is offering its last meeting before the summer break on June 30th, before continuing with new afternoon offers from September 15th.

The “For a tree-strong Prignitz” campaign is also in full swing. The district is giving away deciduous trees to schools and daycare centers, and applications can be submitted until July 11th. This shows how important it is to promote nature in the region.

But there is more to report: The renovation of the Elbe dike in Wentdorf was recently completed and cost 3.4 million euros. The initiative to build solar carports in Perleberg also begins in mid-June and is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.

This news is just part of what Prignitz has to offer in the coming weeks. From new businesses to cultural events, there's plenty happening here to strengthen a sense of community and local identity. So if you are curious about what is happening on your own doorstep, you should definitely take a look at the numerous events that take place in this region.
