In today's SV Rotation Neu Kaliß cup tournament, the oldies of the Prignitz syndicate were very busy. With a total score of 2897 wood, the Prignitz bowlers secured second place, just a hair behind the hosts, who won with 2904 wood. The team can be proud of its performance, especially since the best results of the day were achieved by Peter Süßelbeck and Sven Koslitz, who brought 751 and 748 wood onto the track and thus contributed significantly to the podium finish, reports Northern Courier.
At the beginning of the tournament things initially looked a little different: The Karstädter and Perleberg team started with 676 wood by Marco Wolff and left the first round in sixth place. But the team led by Hans-Jürgen Wollmann, who played the next round with 722 wood, managed to overtake the first team from Fallingbostel. Finally, Peter Süßelbeck managed to catapult the team to second place when he left Lübtheen and Ludwigslust/Neustadt behind him.
An exciting final spurt
In the last round, the gap to the leader, Traktor Balow, was just 3 wood - and only 38 wood separated them from the Neu Kalissers. Sven Koslitz was called upon at the crucial moment and added 748 wood. Nevertheless, in the end the Prignitz syndicate was only 7 pieces short of overall victory. An exciting tournament that the bowlers will certainly remember.
What happens next? The next cup tournament will take place on July 12th at the Sportfreunde of KC Arendsee. There the Prignitz team has the chance to build on their form and perhaps get their next win.
