Dumpling club in Perleberg: Best music bar in Brandenburg 2025!
In the small town of Perleberg, the “Dumpling Club” has reason to be happy. It was named “Music Bar of the Year in the State of Brandenburg”. This award was recently presented by GEMA as part of a competition in which a total of 144 pubs across Germany took part. The owner Michael Dietl, also known as “Michi”, personally accepted the honor from musicians, combining his joy at the recognition with a smile: “Unpleasant, but nice,” was his apt assessment. The “Knödelclub” was the only music bar from Brandenburg that was nominated in this competition and received the most votes from the state’s residents.
Voting for “Music Bar of the Year 2025” ended on October 15, 2023, and the winners were announced on November 17, 2023 in Munich. Owner Dietl was surprised at the lack of larger clubs from the state capital in the vote. The “Dumpling Club” has established itself in the three years since it was founded. Live music is regularly offered here at least once a week, and the program is fully booked until mid-2026. At Bäckerstrasse 11, music is not just heard, but lived.
Diverse music offering
The “Knödelclub” has a lot to offer: The next events include a rap evening on November 29th with Esco and a supporting band from Neuruppin and a reading by Lothar Kowalke on December 5th. “Fuego-Blue” will provide musical enjoyment on December 4th, followed by “The Gottis” on December 11th and “Several Gents” on December 14th. On December 18th there will be a performance by “Infamis” and on December 25th Jörg Bobrik will provide a festive atmosphere as guitarist and singer. Most events start at 7:30 p.m. and entry is free - a real bargain!
An important feature of the “Knödelclub” is the support from the city of Perleberg, which actively called for people to vote. The pub is now an integral part of the music scene and attracts fans not only from the city but also from the surrounding regions. The first musical evening in the “Knödelclub” took place with soloists from the Lotte Lehmann Academy, and from then on a success story began.
A place of meeting
Music bars like the “Knödelclub” are more than just places to party – they are meeting places for regular guests, new discoverers, musicians and music fans. According to GEMA, they are “stages of encounter” and make a significant contribution to cultural diversity and musical culture in Germany. Each pub has its own character and history. The “Knödelclub” is no exception: passion for music is very important here.
From January 5th, the “Knödelclub” will take a break for two weeks, but after that it will continue as usual, the musical offering remains unchanged and invites everyone to become part of this unique atmosphere.
