Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is moving his official residence to Neuruppin from July 1st to 3rd, 2025. The big highlight of his visit will be the awarding of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, which will take place on July 3rd in the Kulturkirche. Seven committed citizens from Neuruppin and the surrounding area will be honored for their outstanding achievements. What is particularly noteworthy is that the award-winning people do not only come from Neuruppin. The honorees also include three women and four men from different regions of Brandenburg who are actively involved in local politics and in the area of cultural heritage. The honor takes place as part of the “Local Time Germany” series, which gives Steinmeier the opportunity to maintain direct contact with citizens and understand the challenges of everyday life. A full program for Steinmeier
The Federal President's visit includes extensive activities.
