Kotzen, Deutschland - Today, on June 12, 2025, all interested parties can look forward to an exciting event: The public project trip of the Lag havelland stands in front of the door! On July 4 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., members, active people and everyone who is interested in leader funding can experience the projects in the region up close. It starts at the Dorfanger in vomiting, and the anticipation for an informative and sociable afternoon could not be greater.
Why is LEADER funding so important? This support initiated by the European Union aims to strengthen the development of rural regions. The term leader stands for "Liaison Entry Actions de Développement de l’économie rural" and brings local actors together to work together on the economic and social development of their communities. The concept has developed significantly since the introduction in 1991 and is now being implemented via the Local Action Groups (LAG) that decide how to use the funds become.

Among other things, it goes to Kotzen, where the center of the village and a generational playground were redesigned. Another highlight is Brädikow, where a four -sided courtyard was converted into a therapy center. The LAG Havelland has successfully implemented numerous projects since its foundation in 2004. With a budget of 13.9 million euros for the 2023-2027 funding period, new opportunities are also available to support even more ideas and initiatives. In particular, the participation of children and adolescents is very important, which means that projects from under-27-year-olds can also be selected by online voting.
